The aim of this first attempt of photographs were to find out how the model for my front page and double page spread could look so I can find room for improvements. From reviewing these pictures from the first shoot, I have realised that they do not represent the genre of music clear enough, nor would they stand out enough upon a front page of my music magazine. The leather jacket in both of the styles hooked the genre, as seen in the clothing - iconography, although jewellery would need to be added to complete the look. To fit the photos used on the front pages of the magazines of which I researched and analysed in 'research', a heavier make-up look is needed. I will do this by adding a stronger eye. In these photos, the bin underneath the desk make them look too casual, so tidying the background would make them look as if they were taken on a professional shoot. A photograph of the model leaning over her guitar will need to be a long shot against a blank wall, without the mirror or desk in the background. Overall, a larger focus is needed on the genre of music.
