JENNY FORREST

MY: WHITE WATER
'My' performed on the Anthology Tour 2016, supporting McFly. Her newest song, White Water, has themes of control and realism, to which could contribute a lot to our music video.

RUTH B: LOST BOY
ARLISSA: DEVIL AND THE DEEP
LORDE: TEAM
COLBIE CAILLAT: TRY
HALSEY: COLOURS
JASMINE THOMPSON: AIN'T NOBODY (LOVES ME BETTER)
This song has a really strong childhood theme, with references made to the 'man in the moon', 'pixie dust' and 'peter pan'. We felt the best way to make a music video from this to to include both children and adults, to show a progression of age. But, we felt this would be hard to achieve, practically and to the quality we need.
This song does not have a clear narrative or storyline within the lyrics, and so if we did choose this song, it would need to be mostly performance.
This song does not have a clear narrative or storyline within the lyrics, and so if we did choose this song, it would need to be mostly performance.
Although this song had a clear message through the lyrics, there isn't a distinct narrative that could be told, nor is the song particularly upbeat. An upbeat or reasonably fast paced song would enhance the performance, as supposed to a ballad-style song.
We did consider this song as a potential for our music video, but we lacked a clear vision as to where we could take the music video. Also, the song makes references to drug abuse, which persuaded us against this song in regards to our target audience.
This cover of Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better) is a softer, more feminine version, which adds more of a romantic and innocent feel.
