LOCATION SHOTS
After Pitch 1 we had to greatly consider where would be practical and appropriate for us to shoot our music video. We needed locations that all members of the band could transport to and from, that we could show both performance and narrative elements of and with conditions that would contribute to a high quality music video - through lighting for example.
For the performance element, we have chosen to hire a recording studio. Not only does this add to the authenticity of the band, but conditions such as audio and lighting are controlled. Our initial idea for the performance location, as stated in Pitch 1, was a garage, but because we struggled to find one this was our Plan B. We hope to fill the background of the studio with fairy lights to draw the camera's attention away from the back wall.
STUDIO LOCATION:
For the narrative element, we have chosen a local beach to our lead singer. The shots here only need to involve her, so we needed to choose a location best suited to her needs. A beach fits the storyline of the lyrics and so we felt this was the most appropriate, giving the most opportunities for links to 'white water' in a literal sense. To establish the shot further, we are considering including establishing, long-shots of arcades, as these are typically found at British beach locations.
